Dop Wax (1lb)

Dop Wax is a very commonly used adhesive for holding the stone to the dop while it is being worked..  It is a mixture of wax and shellac in a proportion that has a sufficiently high melting point to resist accidental movement or release of the stone.

SPECIAL NOTE: We only supply ONE type of wax.  There will be natural variations in wax coloration – typically between a greenish and a darker hue.

Dop wax is inexpensive – a little bit goes a very long way.  Our package is approximately 1 pound – generally enough for several years of faceting.  Alternatives to Dop Wax are cyano-acrylate adhesive (super glue) and epoxy.
