There is a stud, that holds the Lamp, preassembled at the rear of the Baseplate. The Lamp's vinyl-coated gooseneck is 24 inches long, allowing easy location of the illumination relative to the facet surface. The Lamp accepts up to a 100 watt bulb (or LED-based equivalent). The double walled shade stays cool on the outside, avoiding accidental burns.
